The Southern Terminus monument of the Pacific Crest Trail is located on the border of California and Baja California, Mexico - approximately 1.5 miles south of the town of Campo, California. It marks the southernmost point of the trail.
The current monument was installed in January 2016.
Starting or ending a hike
The Southern Terminus monument is typically where NOBO hikers start a thru-hike and where SOBO hikers end a thru-hike. Hikers can reach the monument from Campo by way of a 1.5 mile road-walk. It may also be possible to hitchhike this short distance, or trail angels may be able to provide rides to or from the monument.
