Overview

The Bibbulmun Track is a 1,002 km (623 mi) hiking trail in Western Australia> Its northern terminus is at Kalamunda (an outer suburb of Perth), and its southern terminus is at Albany. Three-sided shelters for camping have been built along the trail within a days' walk of each other. Each shelter has facilities such as a rainwater tank, picnic tables, and a drop toilet.

The track is maintained by the Bibbulmun Track Foundation.

Length: 1,002 km (623 mi)

Standard direction(s) of travel: The Bibbulmun can be walked either south-to-north (S2N) or north-to-south (N2S). The trail is short enough for it to be hiked within one season, so direction is not as crucial as longer trails. One might choose to walk N2S in the spring and S2N in the autumn to take advantage of the temperature changing with the shifting season. One will generally find plenty of walkers in either direction during hiking seasons.

Season: Anytime outside of summer, from spring to fall (April to early November).[1]

Trail Association: Bibbulmun Track Foundation
