The Eastern Continental Trail (ECT) is an approximately 5,300 mile long distance hiking trail in Eastern North America. It extends from Key West, Florida, to Belle Isle, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
John Brinda is credited by Nimblewill Nomad as the first person to hike the ECT.[1]
It consists of the following sections:[2]

- Alabama Roadwalk (190 miles)
- Appalachian Mountains Trail (3800 miles)
- Pinhoti Trail (295 miles)
- Benton MacKaye Trail (65 miles)
- Appalachian Trail (2,150 miles)
- International Appalachian Trail (1,285 miles)
