Arctic Circle Trail

The Arctic Circle Trail (ACT) is an approximately 102 mile[1] (165 km) trail running from the coastal town of Sisimiut to the inland town of Kangerlussuaq, Greenland's terminus for international flights - the former American Sondrestrom airbase. The last approximately 20 miles of the trail actually extends beyond Kangerlussuaq to the face of the Russell Glacier.

  • Water is plentiful in from various streams.

Please be aware: The first lakes you pass going from Kangerlussuaq are salt water lakes and should not be used for drinking water.
