According to fastestknowntime.com and other sources, as of 2020 the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail (north of the MA/NH border) has been formally abandoned. "The sections [of the MM] that aren't shared [with the New England Trail] are impassable, or no longer legal to cross." Source.
