"Eabo" (pronounced "ee-bo") is hiker jargon for hiking a trail in a generally eastward direction.
The word can function as a noun or verb. For example:
- "I'm an eabo ," which means, "I am hiking east from my starting point."
- "I want to eabo the Maclehose Trail next year," which means, "I want to hike the Maclehose Trail travelling east from my starting point."
- "I'm eaboing the Maclehose Trail," which means, "I am hiking east on the Maclehose Trail."
