There are two laundromats in town, with the best-placed for hikers running chores, Laundry Express, LLC, being next door to Walmart. The other laundromat is located in downtown Tehachapi.

Tehachapi has US Post Office location approximately 1 mile from downtown. Additionally, a UPS Store is located 0.5 miles from Walmart, 1.5 miles from downtown, and is open Monday through Sunday.
