- Camp Lockett Event & Equestrian Facility ("CLEEF")
- A short walk from the Southern Terminus monument, CLEEF offers primitive camping for a small fee and can be reserved in advance online. Website, Google Maps.
- Stone Store Museum
- Hikers may be allowed to camp behind the Stone Store Museum, located just north across the street from the Green Store. Ask at the Green Store before setting up your tent.

The El Cajon stop on the San Diego Trolley's Orange Line provides access to El Cajon Transit Center. From downtown San Diego, the journey takes approximately 40 minutes.
