Julian, California is a small town located west of the Pacific Crest Trail at mile 77. Julian mainly caters to tourists. As a result, there is not a whole lot of interest to hikers but it is still possible to do a fairly decent resupply here. There are also a few quirky shops and places to stay.

Julian [12 mi W] is a small hiker-friendly town with restaurants, motels, small grocery store, good outfitter [2footadventures.com 678-944-8639], Post Office [760-765-3648], and occasional sdmts.com bus service. 12 miles W of the PCT on Hwy 78.
Julian is a common PCT resupply stop. Resupply shopping rating: B

Access from the Trail

The Pacific Crest Trail crosses California Highway 78 at mile 77, known as 'Scissors Crossing'. The town of Julian is located 12 miles to the west of this point and is usually a relatively easy hitch.
